The yearlong test program may eventually become a permanent fixture.

SchedulePennsylvania State University in State College is piloting kosher dining for a year in its Findlay Commons, the Daily Collegian reports.
A year and half in the making, the kosher area has a new kitchen and new equipment, and uses only paper and plastic utensils to prevent contamination from the rest of the dining hall.
A member of a Jewish organization at Penn State told the Daily Collegian that some students had been given up eating kosher because it was tough to find compliant options at the university.
The new menu will be offered during dinner Sunday through Thursday and for Sunday brunch. If successful, officials say the kosher options could become a permanent addition.
