Oliver, Hynes honored at AHF Conference
Patti Oliver receives Lifetime Achievement Award; Dick Hynes given Making A Difference honor.

The Association for Healthcare Foodservice (AHF) presented its two highest awards at the closing banquet of the 2014 national conference, in Orlando, Fla. Patti Oliver and Dick Hynes were the recipients.
Oliver, director of nutrition at UCLA Healthcare, was recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award. The award is given in honor of Jacques Bloch and Angelo Gagliano, the men who founded the two legacy organizations that merged five years ago to form AHF. It recognizes the contributions of foodservice professionals to both their institutions and to the association.
In addition to her 15 years with UCLA Healthcare, Oliver also is a past president of AHF and has served the organization on the board of directors since 2007.
Dick Hynes, director of consultant services and healthcare for the Hobart Corp. was chosen for Making A Difference. The award, given in honor of John Cabot, recognizes the contributions of AHF’s business partners and media representatives.
Hynes has represented Hobart on various healthcare foodservice organizations for more than 25 years. A member of the Industry Advisory Board, he has served on the Strategic Planning, Education and S.O.lution Task Force committees in recent years.
