Cooperstown All Star Village, the youth baseball resort located in the same upstate New York area as the Baseball Hall of Fame, will be greeting guests this summer with new dining experiences.

Sodexo Live!, foodservice provider for the complex, developed new menu concepts for the onsite restaurant and added live elements to the venues.

Over 10,000 families and youth athletes visit Cooperstown All Star Village during the height of the season to take part in baseball-oriented programs.

“We want our families to have a world-class experience when they visit and compete at Cooperstown All Star Village—and a significant part of that experience is how they fuel their bodies when they spend a week at our resort,” said Rick Abbott, CEO of Cooperstown All Star Village, in a statement. “Sodexo Live! is responsible for the nutrition of athletes at top Division I programs and even Olympians. Our young athletes and their families deserve to be in that company.”

New concepts at All Star Tavern, the onsite restaurant, will focus on local and signature specialties that reflect the culture and legacy of the region's Native American influences. The dining experience will also highlight fresh preparations that maximize nutrition for young athletes. Sodexo Live! will serve three meals a day to all participants for 12 consecutive weeks.

In addition, the company will tap its existing relationships with local suppliers and purveyors, gained through its partnership with Lake Placid and the New York State Olympic Regional Development Authority.

On the “live” front, it is adding more interactive cooking options with pizza ovens and BBQ pits, as well as additional restaurant seating with live music.

Cooperstown All Star Village is now part of the Ripken Baseball family of complexes.
