Los Angeles Unified shuts down all in-person learning amid rise in COVID-19 cases

Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) has decided to shut down for all in-person learning, KTLA reports. 

While a majority of students in the nation's second-largest school district have been learning remotely this semester, LAUSD had begun offering in-person tutoring and special services for select students earlier in the fall. The decision to shut down will impact around 4,000 students in kindergarten through 12th grade. 

There has been no announcement as to when students will be able to return to campus.
