In an effort to empower the next generation of culinary talent, US Foods is now accepting applications for its 2024 US Foods Scholars program. The company will offer 18 scholarships of $20,000 to culinary students across the country. The program is for culinary and hospitality students who are pursuing degrees in culinary arts, baking and pastry, chef training or hospitality management. The scholarship is open to all U.S. culinary or hospitality students pursuing a 2- or 4- year postsecondary degree.

“With the need for trained culinary talent continuing to rise, we look forward to the nationwide expansion, which will provide much-needed support to students across the country who need it the most,” said Lisa Gibbons, VP of corporate communications, US Foods, in a statement.

Since its launch, the program has awarded more than $1.7 million in scholarships, and alumni of the program have gone on to open their own businesses, join prestigious restaurant groups and work alongside top chefs as mentors.

US Foods Scholars, in partnership with Scholarship America, is accepting applications through May 13 for 12 of the 18 scholarships online. Submit your application here

The remaining six scholarships will be facilitated separately through US Foods’ partnership with Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP), selected from eligible high school seniors with plans to pursue a culinary or hospitality education.
