Oct. 11—John DiPietro has been promoted to the position of vice president of operations for FitzVogt & Associates, the Walpole, N.H.-based foodservice management firm. In his new role, DiPietro will oversee the management of 110 accounts and direct new business acquisition in the New England and mid-Atlantic regions, an area running from Maine to Maryland and as far west as Indiana.

DiPietro began his career at FitzVogt in 1999 as the food service director for The Landmark, a senior residence in Fall River, Mass. He later helped launch the foodservice program at Aquidneck Place in Portsmouth, R.I., and was subsequently promoted to area manager, district manager, and most recently, regional director of operations.

Prior to coming to FitzVogt, DiPietro operated Sunset Catering Services in Waterville Valley, N.H.. He lives in Rhode Island with his wife Amy and their two sons, Jackson and Nicholas.

DiPietro’s philosophy of food service is customer-driven, he says. “We recently reorganized the operations and training teams so as to redirect resources to benefit customers more directly,” said DiPietro. “This includes increased training and an expansion of the operations team as a way of increasing efficiency.”
