After participating in a chef demonstration, Palatine Township Elementary District 15 plans to add more nutritious meals to its menu, reports The Daily Herald.

Master Chef Jimmy Gherardi from the "Chefs Move to Schools" program—part of Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” campaign—recently visited two junior high schools and one elementary school in the Palatine, Ill., district to showcase how foodservice officials could incorporate new menu items, including Moroccan meatballs with organic vegetable couscous.

Chef Gherardi also gave tips on how to prepare a “clean label” hamburger, which the district plans to debut this fall, according to the website.
