Jan. 3—The aftermath of Hurricane Sandy is still being felt in the offices of FoodService Director. For more than a month, mail service was disrupted as there was literally no office to which the U.S. Postal Service, UPS or FedEx could deliver packages.

As a result, several entries for our 2012 Goldies Awards either went undelivered or were returned to sender. Just yesterday, 12 days after the entry deadline closed, we discovered two entries that hadn’t been delivered.

So we’re asking those institutions that submitted entries to our third annual Goldies to contact us to verify that your submissions were indeed received. Please call us at 646-708-7320 or email Editor Paul King at [email protected] by Wednesday, Jan. 9, so we can make sure that every package has been received.
