Nov. 29—In-flight catering veteran Randall Boyd has succeeded Jeanie Ritchie as CEO and COO of Guckenheimer, the foodservice management company based in Redwood Shores, Calif.

Ritchie, who co-founded Guckenheimer with her late husband, C. Steward Ritchie III, in 1963, will continue to serve as executive chairman of the board. Today the company manages 300 accounts in 31 states.

Boyd was offered his new posts after serving as a consultant to Guckenheimer.

Earlier, he had served as CEO of the Americas for Sky Chefs, the airline caterer that operates today as LSG Sky Chefs. He started there in 1989 as a marketing and sales specialist.

Boyd commented that foodservice has always been a part of his life. “My grandfather was a French chef, my mother owned her own catering company and my brother has spent his entire career in the food industry,” he said in the announcement of his appointment.
