March 20—The University of Nevada, Reno is to dedicate some of its land to farming in a new start-up experiment aimed at increasing agriculture in Nevada.

Produce from the farm is expected to supply UNR’s food services, along with area restaurants and other outlets.

The plan was approved because of recent criticism toward the university for its lack of support for the promotion of agriculture.
