Ernest named executive chef at USC

Oct. 29—USC Hospitality at 35,000-student University of Southern California in Los Angeles has named Eric Ernest as its new executive chef.

Ernest will be responsible for overseeing all 39 of the department’s venues, including the new Moreton Fig, a full-service, farm-to-table restaurant in the new Ronald Tutor Campus Center; Lemonade, a retro-style fast-casual concept featuring approachable gourmet fare; and The Lab, USC’s science lab-themed gastropub.

Ernest most recently worked as executive chef for SBE at restaurants such as Katsuya, XIV by Michael Mina, The Bazaar by José Andrés, Gladstones and The Abbey Food & Bar. He also has worked at Spago Beverly Hills, BOA Steakhouse and Citrine.
