Oct. 28—Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services has opened the first Argo Tea location within contracted foodservice at 13,200-student Saint Louis University.

The unit is located at the Pius XII Memorial Library. The location used to be just a coffee shop, and now that Argo Tea has been added, transactions have more than doubled to 851 transactions per day, according to a press release. In addition to bubble teas and coffee, the location offers students baked goods.

"We're always looking for the next best concept on campus to match student needs,” Paul Taylor, resident district manager for Chartwells at the account, said in a press release. “And with SLU students driving this process, we surveyed over 1,300 students for their input. What we found from surveyed participants was that tea was one of the most requested concepts above coffee."
