Capitol vending is color-coded for health

New program gives customers clues about healthy items in vending machines.

March 29—Employees at the Iowa state Capitol can soon make healthy informed decisions when purchasing items from Capitol vending machines.

Public health officials are installing a color-coded system, which will inform customers which products are the most healthy. The healthiest items are marked with a green label, yellow for items with less nutritional value and red for items with the least nutritional value.
