GRAND RAPIDS, MICH.--Bakergroup, a foodservice design consulting firm, has created Enervation Energy LLC, a company designed to help foodservice operators save on energy costs.

The new company was founded by James Sukenik, Mona Milius and Janine Oberstadt. Sukenik is president of Bakergroup and Milius is a principal with the company. Oberstadt is the owner of foodprint, a Bakergroup partner that helps clients with meeting sustainability goals. Milius will be president of Enervation, while Oberstadt will serve as COO and Sukenik as CFO.

Enervation will perform energy and water assessments of client operations, and then recommend modifications to those operations to improve energy efficiency. According to Milius, a typical client could save 10% to 15% annually on their energy and water bills.

"Enervation offers clients a double advantage," said Milius. "By reducing energy and water usage. a client may save thousands of dollar a year on utility bills. beyond that, we're helping these organizations move toward a more sustainable environmental position that ultimately benefits us all."
