Feb 23—The Association of Nutrition & Foodservice Professions, formerly DMA, has renamed and relaunched its charitable foundation as part of the association's rebranding initiative.

Formerly known as the DMA Foundation, the new Nutrition & Foodservice Education Foundation (NFEF) will strongly focus on supporting education for nutrition and foodservice professionals while raising awareness of how the profession helps the public. The Foundation also announced that Kate Dockins, ANFP strategic initiatives director, will take on the duties of Foundation director.

Among the Foundation's activities, it will support education through sponsorship of special events, scholarships for students and promotion of the profession to new generations of students considering careers in nutrition and foodservice. The Foundation also will support research and initiatives designed to develop best practices and better outcomes for the profession and it will recognize nutrition and foodservice leaders who demonstrate excellence and commitment to professional service.

The Foundation also will support charitable causes relation to nutrition and foodservice.

Meeting scholarships, which help defray travel and registration costs for ANFP's regional and annual meetings, are now available at nfefoundation.org.
