ACF honors UC-Boulder, MorningStar at Applewood

July 29—The University of Colorado, Boulder’s department of housing and dining services and Morningstar Senior Living at Applewood in Lakewood, Colo., were both recognized by the American Culinary Federation as part of the 2010 Achievement of Excellence Award.

The university and long-term care center were two of eight establishments honored this year including Charley’s Steak House, Orlando, Fla., Chef Duke’s Cafe Giovanni, New Orleans, and Deerfield Golf & Tennis Club, Newark, Del. Criteria for the award include a nomination by an ACF chapter, member or a foodservice professional, being in operation for at least five consecutive years and being a recognized industry leader.

The winners will be recognized at the 2010 ACF National Convention, which will be held in Anaheim, Calif., Aug. 2-5.
