BOSTON — Unidine Corporation has completed its acquisition of Boston-based FAME Food Management, Inc. The purchase price was not disclosed.

According to the company, FAME’s acquisition will help Unidine continue to branch out into government and education sectors. FAME’s portfolio of clients include the U.S. Government Publishing Office, Transportation Safety Administration, The John Carroll School in Bel Air, Md., Massachusetts Bay Community College in Wellesley Hills, Mass., and Bristol Community College in Fall River, Mass.

“FAME’s market and geographic penetration, along with a shared commitment to exceptional service and customized culinary experiences, serve as a perfect complement to Unidine’s expanding portfolio,” said Unidine CEO Richard Schenkel in a press release. “We are laser focused on revolutionizing what was once simply known as institutional dining to meet the expectations of today’s consumers while serving our clients’ business objectives.”

Schenkel added that the addition of FAME, which was acquired late last year, helped contribute to Unidine’s 24 percent sales growth and $250 million in annual sales in 2014.
