Q. What is the best part of your job?
Enjoying lunch with students, who share honest opinions about the program.
Q. What is the worst part of your job?
Dealing with personnel issues.
Q. What do you consider to be your greatest achievement?
Assembling an outstanding team of passionate, dedicated school nutrition professionals and working with them to continually expand and improve our program.
Q. If you weren't in foodservice what would you be doing?
I'd own my own floral shop and do professional photography. I love flowers and photos.
Q. Which talent would you most like to have?
I would love to be able to sing.
Q. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I'd be more patient and live in the moment more.
Q. What is your greatest fear?
Dropping the ball on one of our many initiatives.
Q. Which living person do you most admire?
My dad.
Q. What is your favorite meal?
Anything my mom cooks.
Q. What is your guilty pleasure?
Amaretto cherry cordial ice cream.
Q. What will people always find in your refrigerator?
Skim milk.
Q. What food fad do you wish had never started?
High-, low- anything diets. My motto is everything in moderation.
Q. What is the weirdest food you have ever eaten?
Is caviar weird food?

Read the book.
Q. Are you a morning or evening person?
Morning.
Q. What are your words to live by?
Never, ever give up!
Q. What do you value most in a friend?
Someone who picks up the phone just to say hello and catch up on what's going on.
Q. What would be your dream vacation?
A month in Italy with my sister and best friend.
Q. If you could eat dinner with anyone living or dead, who would it be?
I'd love to have dinner with my mother's parents who passed away when I was three.
Q. What is your most treasured possession?
My photo collection.
Q. What activity is at the top of your bucket list?
Seeing the University of Kentucky win the NCAA basketball tournament in person.
Q. Who is your favorite celebrity chef?
Chef Jim Whaley, a local chef who works with my district.
