Q. What is the best part of your job?
A kid walked into the kitchen and called me a god.
Q. What is the worst part of your job?
Six in the morning.
Q. What do you consider to be your greatest achievement?
My program as a whole and everything we’ve accomplished. Also being quoted by the first lady was pretty cool.
Q. If you weren't in foodservice what would you be doing?
Sitting by the pool at the Hilton in Palm Springs waiting on room service.
Q. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
I wish I had the ability to see the good in things before the bad.
Q. What is your greatest fear?
Sleeping on the couch.
Q. Which living person do you most admire?
My wife.
Q. What is your favorite meal?
Anything cooked by Salida Union schools.
Q. What is your guilty pleasure?
Las Vegas.
Q. What will people always find in your refrigerator?
Stella Artois.
Q. What food fad do you wish had never started?
Fad diets.
Q. What is the weirdest food you have ever eaten?
Dog ribs.
Q. Are you a morning or evening person?
There’s no time in Vegas.
Q. What are your words to live by?
Don’t say you can do something unless you can back it up.
Q. What is your most treasured possession?
My wedding ring.
Q. What is your dream vacation?
Disneyland with my family. It’s like Vegas for kids.
