If you have an innovative, forward-thinking concept that could win a Food Management Best Concept Award, you had better move fast. The deadline for entries is May 31. After that, FM editors will begin their annual process of evaluating entries to pick the 2008 winners.

These will be featured in the August issue and will receive their trophies in front of their peers at the FM IDEAS Conference in Las Vegas in October.

The Best Concept awards are given out in multiple categories that encompass different aspects of onsite foodservice.

When evaluating entries, FM editors look for original thought and operational results rather than simply scope or scale. A Best Concept winner can be a low-cost initiative that innovatively streamlines the lunch rush in a low-budget environment as easily as a major menu program developed by a national contract management firm.

For directions on how to enter and for an entry form, go to FM's 2008 Best Concept Awards Entry Form. There is no charge for entry.

The deadline is May 31.
