Yankees Change Concessionnaires for New Ballpark

The New York Yankees have announced that Centerplate — concessionaire at current Yankee Stadium through the 2008 season — will not be retained at the new Yankee Stadium when it opens in 2009.

Instead, concessions and foodservice operations at the new $1.3 billion ballpark will be managed by a joint venture partnership between the Yankees and a newly formed entity called Legends Hospitality Management. Legends is headed by former Centerplate CEO Lawrence Hatch.
