Do you have a member of your foodservice staff who has performed beyond the call of duty over the past year? You can nominate him or her to be a Foodservice Hero to be featured by Food Management in a special editorial package coming in May.

Food Management has been recognizing exemplary performance by under-the-radar staff in onsite dining programs since 2020, when the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus prompted us to highlight the heroic contributions of staff working under trying conditions to continue to serve customers.

Now, though the pandemic conditions may have receded, other challenges have taken its place, providing opportunities for individuals to step up to meet them.

Any individual working in an onsite dining environment is eligible, from servers and kitchen staff to supervisors, managers and chefs, but we especially want to hear about unit-level, frontline individuals who are the face of our industry to most customers and who often have had to go the extra mile during this year of labor and supply chain issues.

The deadline for submitting nominations is April 14th. All nominations MUST include a photo of the individual being nominated to be eligible for inclusion.

The nomination form is here.

Address any questions about the competition to [email protected].
