Vanderbilt University has launched fEAsT, a new program that allows students to take their professors to lunch on campus for free, reports the Inside Vandy student paper. Modeled on similar programs at schools like Duke and the University of Michigan, fEAsT gives a student up to two vouchers per semester that can be used for free lunches for the student and a professor at any campus sit-down dining site (except the Munchie Marts). Currently, the program is limited to one-on-one meals but an option to accommodate groups of students may be considered in the future.
