The University of Michigan is opening its new Hill Dining Center as part of its completely renovated Mosher-Jordan Hall residential complex. Mosher-Jordan, originally Michigan’s first large residence hall for women, has been completely upgraded, including new community spaces centered around Hill, which replaces not only the individual dining facilities within Mosher-Jordan but also the Alice Lloyd, Couzens and Stockwell halls.

Hill uses a marketplace approach, with six service stations. They include...

• a hearth oven for pizza

• a rotisserie and Euro kitchen offering traditional fare

• an international concept with a wok station and flat top grills to provide food from around the world

• made-to-order deli sandwiches and salads

• a dessert and coffee bar

• a grill with burgers, fries and more.

The dining halls's tables, booths and counter seating accommodate up to 638 diners.

Also debuting at Mosher-Jordan is Victors, a c-store/restaurant blend that offers grab-and-go salads and sandwiches, pizza, smoothies, gourmet coffee, bottled beverages and a variety of convenience items. Victors seats 72 patrons indoors, and also has outdoor seating on the adjacent patio. Mosher-Jordan's plaza is open 24 hours as a student lounge.

The combined cost of the Mosher-Jordan and Hill Dining Center projects was approximately $65.1 million.
