The union representing dining service workers at Yale University has filed a complaint with the National Labor Relations Board that the school unilaterally changed the terms and conditions of employment for a number of union members by restructuring operations to incorporate a new centralized Culinary Support Center, reports the Yale Daily News. The union, Local 35, claims that Yale failed to negotiate appropriately before making the decision to go forward with the CSC and refused to provide the union with adequate information about the decision-making process that led to the creation of the CSC. A Yale spokesperson quoted in the article said the University does not believe the complaint is justified.
