The University of Arizona has introduced an Indian themed concept, Tikka’s, into the dining mix at its Student Union Memorial Center. The move follows a series of student surveys that showed a desire for a wider variety of food optioins, with nearly a quarter of respondents specifically citing an interest in having an Indian concept.

Tikka’s will share space with the existing Mexican themed Café Sonoroa on the Student Union’s second floor and will be open for lunch and dinner (til 7:30 pm) Monday through Thursday and for lunch only on Friday. The menu specializes in the spicy dishes of the Bengal region in Northeast India and will include chicken tikka, lamb curry, masala, dal, dhanska, naan, korma, paneer and vindaloo. Prices at the station average about $5.50.
