TrustHouse Services Group has announced the appointment of Brian Poplin, DHA, FACHE, as the company’s president and CEO, succeeding company founder Michael Bailey, who remains chairman. Poplin, who had spent 19 years with Aramark Healthcare Technologies, has served for the past two years as president/CEO of Medical Staffing Network Healthcare, LLC.

“Brian has the talent, energy and experience that TrustHouse deserves,” Bailey says. “I am confident that, with him as a leader, we will take TrustHouse to an unprecedented level of success. He has more than 24 years of successful progression in management with a strong emphasis on achieving exemplary outcomes. He is an expert in change management, strategic planning, team development, customer relations, and operational execution.

“The time is right in the food service industry for regional providers to offer high-level services, especially in the senior market,” Bailey adds. “We have a commitment to this senior nutritional market as 10,000 people each day turn 65. These seniors are looking for alternative living environments and providing daily meals is a core component of what we do. Our partnership with local agencies to provide innovative delivery solutions allows more people to be served.”

“TrustHouse is on the cusp of an amazing opportunity,” said Poplin says. “I am committed to the vision that Michael Bailey has set forth and I look forward to working side-by-side with him in the coming years. The strategy to create a quality-driven middle market company with high-touch, best-in-class services has succeeded because of Michael’s sound business model with an intense focus on organic and strategic growth.”

TrustHouse was No. 8 on the 2015 FM Top 50 Contract Management Companies listing with 2014 revenues of $498 million. The company was acquired by Bailey and the management team in partnership with European contract catering firm Elior two years ago.

It was founded in 2008 through the acquisition and merger of a number of previously independent regional contract management firms, and bolstered through a number of subsequent acquisitions, including those of A'viands Food & Services Management and Valley Services Inc.
