Most of the soccer fans attending games of Major League Soccer's Philadelphia Union at PPL Park can use their mobile web devices such as iPhones to order concessions from their seats, reports the Delaware County Daily Times. The service, called Union Direct, requires fans to set up an account at the www.The UnionDirect.com website or on their smartphones, listing their seat number and a credit card. They can then scroll through images of the various food and beverage offerings, make selections and have the order delivered to their seats.

In a recent game, some 125 fans were utilizing the service, a number that has been increasing as fans become more aware of it. The program, operated by concessionaire Ovations Food Services at PPL Park, was developed by a company called Mangia, based in Salt Lake City. It is currently used at eight venues across the country.
