The newly self-operated concessions service at Dell Diamond, home field of the Round Rock (TX) Express minor league baseball team, now boasts an "everything's fresh" philosophy, redesigned and branded standalone "storefronts" and a new customer service culture, reports milb.com.
Some of the distinctive storefronts include the Coop and Kennel Pub with its grilled cheese dog (a gourmet hot dog wrapped in a grilled cheese sandwich) and crispy curly garlic fries, the Metro Deli with sandwiches like the Willie Nelson (roast beef with herb mayo) and the McConaughey (fried turkey and avocado), and Rojo's Hidewaway, featuring Mexican themed fare like taco flights (pork carnitas and chicken verde dressed with lettuce, cotija cheese and cilantro lime vinaigrette) and Tejas Nachos Carnitas, dressed with chunks of pork, "queso Rojo" and red jalapenos.
The concessions operation was brought in-house before the season by club owner Ryan-Sanders Baseball, and put under the management of its own Ryan-Sanders Sports Services unit, described as "the umbrella for all food service and retail operations at Dell Diamond."
