Purdue Completes Campus Dining Overhaul

Purdue University Housing and Food Services has completed its consolidation of residential dining operations with the opening of the new $19 million Wiley Hall Dining Court. The 500-seat freestanding facility completes University Residences' plan to consolidate its 11 traditional cafeteria-style dining rooms into five architecturally distinct dining courts.
The new brick, lodge-like Wiley is characterized by large windows, vaulted wood ceilings and stylish use of glass, steel and tile. Its array of internationally themed serving stations offers a broad selection of meal choices ranging from made to order pizzas, pastas and sandwiches to Brazilian churrasco barbecue.
The first four new dining courts in the program’s master plan to upgrade residential dining were Earhart and Hillenbrand, opened in 2003, Ford (2004) and Windsor (2005). The renovation program won the Best of Show Award in Food Management's Best Concepts Awards competition in 2006.
