Philly Zoo Beefs Up Dining Options With Food Truck, Action Station

Truck will serve Mexican favorites on weekends while Aramark's 34th Street Market concentrates on local, seasonal, fresh-prepared items.

The Philadelphia Zoo has ramped up dining options with two new dining locations, reports philly.com. The Distrito Taco Truck, operated by an outside vendor, will be parking onsite on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays through the summer serving Mexican fare like tacos, nachos, burritos and churros. In addition, he zoo's food-service provider Aramark has opened 34th Street Market, which serves locally sourced, seasonally inspired salads, French baguette sandwiches and selections from an action station where a cook assembles sandwich specials like grilled chicken breast with arugula, roasted pepper, shaved parmesan and citrus mayo.
