Ohio State, Ohio Corrections Consider Joint Food Purchasing

Ohio State University and the Ohio state prison system are exploring pooling some of their food and beverage purchasing to save money, reports the Associated Press. This would be the first such purchasing alliance between a university and a corrections body, the article adds. The Ohio Dept. of Rehabilitation & Correction would save $2 million annually under the arrangement. OSU has not yet calculated its savings.
