Morrison Management Specialists will offer freshly prepared Weight Watchers branded menu items in more than 300 of its hospital cafes nationwide. The rollout will begin in 60 locations in 2008 and is expected to be complete within the next five years. “This is the first partnership where Weight Watchers provides menu items to a healthcare provider,” says Morrison CEO Scott MacLellan. “Partnering with Weight Watchers is an important step in furthering Morrison’s commitment to healthful great-tasting food choices in hospitals.” Morrison tested the Weight Watchers menu for consumer acceptance through a pilot program that began in 2005. Last year, the new menu items appeared in 75 of the company’s accounts.
