The University of Southern California Hospitality and Lark Creek Restaurant Group have announced a partnership to open Moreton Fig restaurant in late August 2010. It will be located at the Ronald Tutor Campus Center, a newly constructed, 192,000-sq.-ft. five-story complex in the center of the USC campus.

Named for the two towering century-old fig trees fronting the restaurant, the 8,000-sq.ft. LEED-certified dining venue will be USC’s first contemporary table-service on-campus restaurant. Lark Creek also operates award-winning restaurant concepts like the Michelin starred One Market in San Francisco and Bradley Ogden at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, as well as LarkCreekSteak in San Francisco.

“The opening of Moreton Fig represents another huge step toward USC Hospitality’s goal of offering students expanded, high-quality dining options on campus,” says USC Hospitality Director Kris Klinger. “We couldn’t be happier that Michael [Lark Creek Co-Founder/CEO/President and USC alum Michael Dellar] is bringing his outstanding restaurant team to USC and creating a new community space for past, present, and future generations of students, faculty, administration, and alumni.”

Moreton Fig will be open for lunch and dinner and will serve an abbreviated lounge menu in between.
