JMU Dining Works Through Snowstorm

James Madison University Dining Services put up dining employees in area hotels to ensure enough would be on hand to man kitchens and serveries for students durin g the recent major snowstorm that hit the mid-Atlantic, reports the school’s Breeze campus paper. JMU closed or reduced hours at some locations while keeping those near student housing or having larger capacity open to serve resident students as well as commuters who depend on meal plans for their dining needs. The Harrisonburg, VA, area, where the campus is located, received about 18 inches of snow.
