Compass Group North America has launched www.compassgroupcareers.com, a site designed to recruit and process applications from job candidates. The company needs more than 5,500 new managers each year, according to Raj Pragasam, senior VP-human resources, and receives more than 182,000 resumes annually.
Thompson Hospitality Corp. has acquired gourmet foods retailer Marvelous Market. Headquartered in Washington, DC, Marvelous Market produces both from-scratch baked products like artisan breads, pastries and desserts as well as gourmet entrees, soups, salads and sandwiches. It also operates nine retail outlets in the Washington area.
Aramark has named Robert Wilson president of its Refreshment Services unit. He was previously executive vice president of the Healthcare Services unit.
Centerplate has entered into an agreement with Crimson Tide Sports Marketing to provide food, beverage and retail merchandise services at all University of Alabama athletic events.
Eat ‘n Park Hospitality Group has named Jeff Broadhurst CEO. Broadhurst, who succeeds his father Jim in the position, helped launch Eat ‘n Park's onsite dining division, Parkhurst Dining Services, for which he served as president from 2002 to 2006. He was president of Eat ‘n Park's division for the past two years. Jim Broadhurst will remain chairman of the company.
Delaware North Cos. Has been selected to manage all the retail operations of the Buffalo Bills NFL franchise, which has previously been self-operated.
J. Michael Floyd has been promoted to executive director of food services at the University of Georgia.Floyd has led UGA's dining operations for the past 22 years, the last two as director of food services.
Delaware North Chairman/CEO Jeremy Jacobs and his family have given the University of Buffalo a $10 million gift to establish the Jacobs Institute to support research and clinical collaboration on the causes, treatment and prevention of heart and vascular diseases.
