The EPA and Department of Energy have named ITW Food Equipment Group-North America the 2008 Energy Star Partner of the Year in the Product Manufacturer category. ITW counts brands like Hobart, Stero, Vulcan, Traulsen and Wittco among its independent company units.

Nestlé Foodservices North America has been renamed Nestlé Professional.

Doug McAllister of Coca-Cola Co. has won the Food Service Industry Award of Excellence from IFSEA.

H. David Porter and Albin Khouw have announced a partnership called Porter Khouw Consulting, Inc., that includes eight foodservice planning and design professionals and will serve the higher education and other onsite foodservice sectors.

Unilever Foodsolutions Senior Innovation Chef Jim Murray, CEC, CBJ, was awarded the ACF President's Medallion at the 2008 ACF Central Region Conference in Kansas City.

North District Middle School in Varnville, SC, is the inaugural winner of SNA's Winston Industries Equipment Award. The school will renovate its 40-year-old kitchen with new Winston equipment, including holding cabinets, holding drawers and a steamer.

Coca-Cola announced has purchased a 40 percent stake in Honest Tea organic bottled tea. The move gives Coke affiliation with a high-impact health drink brand while it gives Honest Tea a much broader market reach. The company will continue to operate as an independent business.

The Creative Energy Group advertising/public relations firm has named Mark Wildenhaus executive creative director.

David Richard Mouck has been promoted to COO of Robot Coupe U.S.A. He been Robot Coupe's vice president of sales and marketing since 2006.

Equipment manufacturer (Groen, Randell, Avtec) Unified Brands has added Michael Williams as director of culinary marketing. He most recently served as director of client purchasing services for US Foodservice.

Monin Gourmet Flavorings was named Small Non-Alcohol & Mix Company supplier of the Year at the 2008 Cheers Conference in Miami.

Hormel Foods Corp. has been named Donor of the Year for 2007 by Channel One Food Bank and Food Shelf for its hunger relief efforts.
