FSA Group President Tony Butler has purchased his company from New York City-based publishing firm Lebhar-Friedman, Inc., effective immediately. Lebhar-Friedman has purchased the firm in 2004 and Butler was named president last summer after more than eight years as executive director of events management.

FSA was founded in 1969 by partners Philip Cooke and Daniel Maye. It offers association management, event management, and marketing and design services to a variety of associations and non-profit organizations. Butler’s announcement also included the naming of two new executive positions at FSA Group. Peg Plaut, an FSA veteran for over 12 years, was named vice president of event services and John Bunker was named vice president of finance & operations.
