Food trucks operated by outside vendors are temporarily off the Duke University campus, reports the Duke Chronicle. The mobile eateries had been stationed in a spot where they posed a potential safety hazard and generated insufficient business even before the weather turned cold. The school says it remains committed to having trucks on campus for the lunchtime period going forward, if only to provide another dining option while the school's West Union venue is closed for renovations and several hundred students return to campus from studying abroad.
