The University of Massachusetts at Amherst rolled out the school's first food truck at the beginning of the current school year. Called Baby Berk in tribute to UMass' popular Berkshire Dining Commons, it will initially serve five types of gourmet burgers (plus toppings) as well as New England clam chowder. The menu will be changed every two months to keep the offerings fresh.

The vehicle will set up at various points on campus throughout each day but can be tracked through Twitter and Facebook. It will operate from 11:30 am until late night and be staffed by a crew of four, including two chefs who will prpare the food fresh. It will also be available to serve at special events such as graduation parties and staff functions.
