The Eurest Services division of Compass Group plc has signed an expanded extension of its contract with Royal Dutch Shell plc. The extension to the existing contract will see Eurest Services providing hard and soft services to Shell sites across the USA, Canada and Latin America, with a contract value in excess of 200 million pounds Sterling (about $320 million) in annual revenue.

The extended contract with Eurest will enable Shell to rationalise the number of existing service contractors in the Americas from more than 150 down to one. Eurest will continue to provide a wide array of services including catering, vending, cleaning, reception, mechanical services and electrical services at a variety of sites, including headquarters, refineries and mines.

In the United States, Eurest will be providing soft services, hard services, corporate dining, and office coffee and vending services to fourteen Shell sites across the country, representing around $27 million in annual revenues.

The extended deal with Shell across the Americas expands the existing international contract in the UK and Europe, which was already accounting for approximately 100 million pounds of annual revenue. The international relationship with Shell began in early 2007 with services provided in the UK, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Poland, the North Sea, Nordic Offshore, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Turkey and Greece.
