A dual-branded kiosk cart featuring selections from a New York City Caribbean themed restaurant and a local bakery will open October 15 on the Duke University campus, reports the Duke Chronicle. Slated to operate on the campus’s Plaza section, the cart will offer Jamaican home-style offerings from New York based Caribbean Kitchen alongside dessert selections and coffee from Victoria's Sweets, which has a location in Durham, NC, near the Duke campus.

The Caribbean items will be prepared fresh in a local commercial kitchen in Raleigh, NC, and will be delivered hourly to the campus cart. Future plans call for preorder capability over the phone and eventually online. Business has been dropping recently at the food outlets operating on the Plaza, a drop attributed by Dining Services Director Jim Wulforst to an overall increase of dining options across the Durham, NC, campus, according to the Chronicle.
