The Board of Education for Marshalltown (IA) Community School District has approved a proposal to hire a collection agency to recover unpaid lunch money, according to the Marshalltown Times Republican. The agency, PSD Receivables, will seek to recover some $25,900 in past-due school meal funds. The district says it has exhausted other avenues to collect the money from parents and doesn’t want to resort to denying meals to students.
