Webster County (KY) School District plans to sue five parents and guardians of district students for reimbursement of lunchroom meal charges, reports the Webster County Journal-Enterprise. The suits, filed in Webster County Circuit Court, were authorized by the county board of education after direct appeals to the parents went unanswered. The district is owed a total of around $9,600 in delinquent meal charges. The five suits collectively represent about a quarter of that total. The district schools say they plan to continue their policy of providing meals to children whose accounts are in default, with the additional charges added to the total reimbursement being sought.
