Georgetown University has selected Bon Appetit Management Co. to operate its yet-to-be-named pub in the new Healey Family Student Center, which is scheduled to open this fall in the New South residence hall, reports the Georgetown Voice. The venue will serve beer, wine and liquor on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights and will include 18-and-over nights or a system of wristbands for underage students, according to an agreement between the school administration and the student association. It is also planned to have extended late-night hours for 18 groups, a pick-up/carry-out window, a small seating section that could be reserved for celebrating special events and a pub set-up. Georgetown once had a student pub in the New South basement, but it was closed down 20 years ago.
