Bon Appétit Management Co. has opened Stem Kitchen & Garden, a 158-seat Mediterranean themed full-service restaurant, in a new building in San Francisco's growing Mission Bay district that is the new home of Alexandria Real Estate Equities, reports the San Francisco Chronicle. The restaurant, on the building's second floor, features a heated patio in an outdoor area that also has an organic garden, a bocce ball court, fire pits and a view of San Francisco Bay. Initially, hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with a menu focused on salads, sandwiches, pizzas and soups but full dinner service is planned to be added eventually.
