Auburn University plans to open a state-of-the-art Wellness Kitchen in August that will offer multiple fresh and healthy food stations designed for a variety of dietary needs, reports the Opelika-Auburn News. The $6.6 million, 10,000-sq.ft. facility, located across the street from Auburn's new South Donahue Residence Hall, will seat 214 inside plus around 80 on an outdoor deck.

The venue, which will include a smoothie station, a salad bar, a meat-and-three hot line and a pizza oven, will house Auburn's athletic training table and its menu choices will be designed by a chef in conjunction with the school's sports dietitian Scott Sehnert.
