The recently formed Association for Healthcare Foodservice (AHF) has approved the affiliation of seven inaugural regional chapters with the national organization. They include the Chicago Midwest Chapter, Florida Chapter, Hoosier Chapter, North Central Texas Chapter, Oregon Chapter, Southern Wisconsin Chapter and Washington State Chapter.

AHF chapters give members and healthcare foodservice professionals an opportunity to network as well as to get continuing education and collaboration opportunities. They also serve as a conduit for regional perspectives and expertise to the national organization.

The inaugural AHF chapters, representing more than 500 local healthcare foodservice professionals, will each have a separate web page on the national AHF website. A leader from each will be awarded a scholarship to attend the AHF national conference in June in Austin, TX.

The presidents of the seven chapters are Nina Dubman of Fountains of Crystal Lake (Chicago), Becky Amt of Morgan Hosptial/Medical Center (Hoosier), Joyce Hagen-Flint of Regional Medical Center at Bayonet Point (Florida), Celia Krazit of Parkland Health/Hospital System (North Central Texas), Phil Balogh of Silverton Hospital Network (Oregon), Laura Morgan of Rogers Memorial Hospital (Southern Wisconsin) and Mary Hanson of Group Health Cooperative (Washington State).
