The University of California Merced Dining Services is bringing a "mobile farmers market" called Produce on the Go to campus every Wednesday beginning April 1. The truck sells fresh, local and sustainably grown fruits, vegetables and dairy products along with simple, affordable recipes and preparation tips. It accepts the school's CatCard debit card as well as cash, commercial debit and credit cards and California's EBT (Electronic Benefit Transfer) cards to emphasize its mission of connecting with lower-income and underserved community members.
