The National Automatic Merchandising Association (NAMA) National Expo, to be held at Lakeside Center Mc-Cormick Place in Chicago October 14-16, will include a Food-service Expo featuring live chef demonstrations. The Foodser-vice Expo, part of the huge annual vending show for the past several years, highlights the growing importance of manual food-service to the vending industry. According to NAMA statistics, vending operators conduct more than $10 billion in on-site food-service transactions and 44 percent of vending operators run on-site foodservice operations.
"We are continuously working to ensure the Expo is a world class show that delivers the support our members require and helps them achieve their business goals in every area possible," says NAMA President/CEO Richard Geerdes.
New this year at the show will be a Leaders Forum where respected industry leaders discuss emerging trends such as the obesity epidemic (one of the scheduled panelists is Aramark Refreshment Services President Richard Wyckoff ) as well as a new technology pavilion (VENDTec). The National Expo is the world's largest vending, coffee service and foodservice management exposition. For more info, go to www.nama.org
